The name of which Lamborghini model means 'bat' in Spanish?

The story behind the answer

The name of the Lamborghini model meaning “bat” in Spanish is Murciélago. The word refers to the Lamborghini Murciélago, whose name comes directly from the Spanish term for a bat.

Lamborghini traditionally names many of its cars after famous Spanish fighting bulls. Murciélago was also the name of a celebrated 19th-century fighting bull that reportedly survived numerous blows in a Córdoba bullfight in 1879. The bull was later given to the Miura breeding line, linking the name to Lamborghini’s long-running bullfighting tradition.

The Murciélago replaced the Diablo in 2001 and remained Lamborghini’s flagship V12 model until 2010. Its successor was the Aventador. The accent in “Murciélago” is part of the Spanish spelling, although the name is often written without it in English-language car listings.
