Jolene Blalock’s first feature film, Slow Burn, followed her work on the popular science-fiction television series Enterprise. Blalock was best known on the show for playing the Vulcan science officer Sub-Commander T’Pol.
Slow Burn is a crime thriller starring Ray Liotta, LL Cool J and Mekhi Phifer. Blalock played Nora Timmer, a role that gave her an opportunity to move beyond the science-fiction setting and television production that had made her widely recognizable.
The timeline is slightly less simple than the wording suggests. Slow Burn was filmed in 2003, between the second and third seasons of Enterprise, rather than after the series had completely ended. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2005 and received a limited theatrical release in 2007.
Enterprise ran from 2001 to 2005 and was the fifth live-action Star Trek television series. Blalock appeared throughout its run as T’Pol, the first Vulcan to serve as a regular member of a Starfleet crew. Thus, Enterprise is the canonical answer to the trivia question.
