The lead actor of "The Mayor" also appeared on which other series on TBS?

The lead actor of The Mayor, Brandon Micheal Hall, also appeared on the TBS series Search Party. Hall played Courtney Rose in The Mayor and journalist Julian Marcus in Search Party.

The Mayor premiered on ABC in 2017 and followed Courtney Rose, an aspiring rapper who unexpectedly becomes mayor of his hometown after creating a campaign stunt. Hall led the series, which was praised for its warm tone and socially conscious comedy but was cancelled after one season.

Search Party premiered on TBS in 2016 as a dark comedy about a group of young Brooklyn friends drawn into the search for a missing woman. Hall was part of the main cast in the first two seasons and later returned in a guest capacity. His character, Julian, is Dory Sief’s former boyfriend and works as a journalist.

Search Party eventually moved from TBS to HBO Max for its later seasons. Hall also became known for starring in the CBS series God Friended Me, but Search Party is the TBS connection asked for in this question.
