The Game and his brother Big Fase formed what record label?
Answer
The Black Wall Street Records
Answer
The Black Wall Street Records
The Game and his brother Big Fase formed The Black Wall Street Records. The label emerged from The Game’s early career in Compton, California, where he worked alongside his older half-brother, George Taylor III, better known as Big Fase 100.
The Black Wall Street began around 2002 as an independent label and artist collective. The Game used it to release early music and mixtapes before his breakthrough with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment and G-Unit. The label’s name referenced Tulsa’s historic Greenwood district, which was popularly known as “Black Wall Street” because of its prosperous Black-owned businesses before the 1921 massacre.
A common mix-up is confusing The Black Wall Street Records with Aftermath, G-Unit, or Get Low Recordz. Those were labels connected to different stages of The Game’s career; The Black Wall Street was the imprint he co-founded with Big Fase. Big Fase later left the label after a dispute with his brother, but his role as a co-founder remains central to its origin.
