The 2016 Faraday Future FFZERO1 concept car had a claimed power output of 1,000 horsepower. Faraday Future presented the figure as part of the car’s ambitious performance vision at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The FFZERO1 was a dramatic single-seat electric sports-car concept rather than a production model. Its design featured a long, low body, a canopy-style cockpit and a central driving position. Faraday Future described the car as a showcase for its variable electric-vehicle platform and high-performance technology.
The 1,000-horsepower claim was paired with other striking projections, including acceleration from zero to 60 mph in under three seconds and a top speed of more than 200 mph. Because the FFZERO1 remained a concept, these figures were targets or claims rather than results from a normal production-car test program.
It is easy to confuse the FFZERO1 with the later FF 91, Faraday Future’s luxury electric vehicle. The FF 91 is a different, multi-seat vehicle with separate specifications; the 1,000-horsepower figure belongs to the single-seat FFZERO1 concept.
