The 2007 film "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" was the fifth film in the Harry Potter series.
It follows Harry’s fourth-year adventures in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" and comes before "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." The story begins during Harry’s fifth year at Hogwarts, as the wizarding world struggles to accept that Lord Voldemort has returned.
The film introduced director David Yates to the series, who later directed the remaining Harry Potter films. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson returned as Harry, Ron, and Hermione, while Imelda Staunton joined the main cast as the strict Hogwarts professor Dolores Umbridge.
A common mix-up is confusing the film’s position with the book’s length. The novel was also the fifth Harry Potter book and was the longest book in the series, but its film adaptation is among the shorter entries. The complete original Harry Potter film series contains eight movies because the final novel, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," was adapted in two parts.
