Sanna Nielsen’s song “Undo” finished in third place in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014.
Representing Sweden, “Undo” scored 218 points in the final held in Copenhagen on May 10, 2014. Austria won with Conchita Wurst’s “Rise Like a Phoenix,” while the Netherlands finished second with “Calm After the Storm.” Sweden’s result placed the song third among 26 finalists.
Nielsen first had to qualify through the contest’s first semi-final, where “Undo” finished second with 131 points. The performance then appeared thirteenth in the grand final. Its polished staging, prominent vocal delivery, and dramatic ballad arrangement helped it become one of the evening’s strongest entries.
Before Eurovision, “Undo” won Sweden’s Melodifestivalen final on March 8, 2014. Nielsen defeated Ace Wilder’s “Busy Doin’ Nothin’” by only two points, making the national selection unusually close. The Eurovision result was also significant for Sweden: “Undo” became the country’s second-highest-scoring entry at the time, behind Loreen’s 2012 winner “Euphoria.”
