On which continent is the Horde capital Orgrimmar located?
Answer
Kalimdor
Answer
Kalimdor
The Horde capital Orgrimmar is located on the continent of Kalimdor.
Orgrimmar stands in Durotar, a rugged coastal region on Kalimdor’s eastern side. The city was founded by Thrall after the orcs arrived in Kalimdor following the events of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos. It was named in honor of Orgrim Doomhammer, the former Horde warchief and a close ally of Thrall.
The fortress city became the political and military heart of the modern Horde. Its districts include the Valley of Strength, the Valley of Wisdom, the Valley of Spirits, and the Valley of Honor, along with important facilities such as the warchief’s quarters, auction house, inns, and profession trainers.
Players sometimes confuse Orgrimmar’s continent with Eastern Kingdoms because the Horde has major settlements there, including Undercity and Silvermoon City. Orgrimmar itself is firmly associated with Kalimdor, just as Stormwind is associated with the Eastern Kingdoms. The city has also been the setting for major story events, including the Siege of Orgrimmar in Mists of Pandaria.
