Evan Davis presented the British television show Dragons' Den from its 2005 launch until 2023.
Davis is a British broadcaster and economist who became widely recognised for presenting business and current-affairs programmes. On Dragons' Den, he introduced entrepreneurs, managed the pitches and guided the negotiations between contestants and the investors, known as the Dragons.
The programme first aired on BBC Two in 2005 and became one of the channel's best-known factual entertainment formats. Although the investor panel changed repeatedly, Davis remained the familiar link between the entrepreneurs and the Dragons for nearly two decades.
In 2023, Davis was replaced as presenter by comedian and broadcaster OJ Borg. This change is sometimes confused with a change in the Dragon panel, but the presenter and the investors are separate roles. The programme itself is the British adaptation of an international format descended from the Japanese show Money Tigers.
