Peter Jones has been a dragon in every series of the British television programme Dragons' Den since it began in 2005.
Jones is a British entrepreneur and investor whose businesses have included Phones International Group, an electronics and communications company. His continued presence makes him the programme's longest-serving current investor and the only original dragon still appearing regularly.
The other original investors included Duncan Bannatyne, Rachel Elnaugh, Simon Woodroffe and Peter Jones. Theo Paphitis and Deborah Meaden also became strongly associated with the early BBC panel, but neither has appeared in every series. The programme has changed its panel many times as entrepreneurs have left and new investors have joined.
Jones is often confused with the show's executive producer or presenter, but he is an investor appearing on screen. The presenter introduces the pitches and manages the negotiation; Jones evaluates businesses and can offer his own money in exchange for equity.
