Mount Logan, Canada's highest mountain, is in which country?

The story behind the answer

Mount Logan, Canada’s highest mountain, is in Canada.

The summit stands in southwestern Yukon within Kluane National Park and Reserve, less than 40 kilometers north of the Yukon–Alaska border. It rises to 5,959 meters and belongs to the Saint Elias Mountains, a range that extends across Canada, the United States, and Alaska.

Mount Logan is North America’s second-highest peak after Denali in Alaska. That comparison causes a common mix-up: Denali is the continent’s highest mountain, but Mount Logan is the highest point within Canada. The mountain was named for Sir William Edmond Logan, founder of the Geological Survey of Canada.

Its enormous massif contains multiple peaks above 5,000 meters and feeds the Hubbard and Logan glaciers. The first successful ascent took place on June 23, 1925, by a team led by Albert H. MacCarthy.
