Levon and "Tiny Dancer" come from what Elton John album?

Levon and “Tiny Dancer” both appear on Elton John’s 1971 album Madman Across the Water.

The album was John’s fourth studio release and one of three albums he issued in 1971. Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics for all nine songs, while John composed and performed the music. “Tiny Dancer” opens the record, and “Levon” appears later in the track listing.

“Tiny Dancer” was inspired partly by Taupin’s first visit to the United States and is also widely associated with his then-wife, Maxine Feibelman. “Levon,” meanwhile, tells a more enigmatic story about a man named Levon and his son Jesus. Both songs became more prominent over time than their initial chart performance suggested.

A common mix-up is confusing this album with Honky Château, John’s next studio album, which contains “Rocket Man.” The 1971 album’s title track was also recorded during this period, although its meaning has often been debated.
