Touker Suleyman first joined the BBC television panel on Dragons’ Den in 2015.
Suleyman is a British-Turkish-Cypriot entrepreneur and investor whose business career began in the fashion and textile industries. He became associated with the fashion retailer Hawes & Curtis and later with Ghost, the British fashion label he acquired and helped revive.
His appointment placed a retail and manufacturing specialist on the panel. That background has shaped many of his on-screen questions, particularly about sourcing, margins, production capacity and routes into established shops. He joined alongside fellow new Dragon Sarah Willingham during the programme’s 2015 lineup changes.
Touker Suleyman is sometimes confused with Tej Lalvani because both joined the modern panel after the show’s original era. Lalvani joined in 2017, whereas Suleyman’s first appearance as a Dragon was two years earlier. Suleyman has also appeared in business-investment coverage outside Dragons’ Den.
