In which year did the episode 'Blink' air?
Answer
2007
Answer
2007
The Doctor Who episode “Blink” first aired in 2007. It was broadcast in the United Kingdom on BBC One on 9 June 2007 as the tenth episode of the programme’s third revived series.
Written by Steven Moffat and directed by Hettie MacDonald, “Blink” follows Sally Sparrow, played by Carey Mulligan, as she investigates the terrifying Weeping Angels. The Doctor, played by David Tennant, is trapped in 1969 and communicates with Sally through messages hidden in DVD extras. The story’s time-travel structure lets its characters affect events across decades.
“Blink” is often called a “Doctor-lite” episode because the Doctor and Martha Jones have relatively little screen time. That format allowed production to film another episode at the same time. The episode was widely praised and won the 2008 Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form.
