Tej Lalvani first appeared as a dragon on BBC's Dragons' Den in 2017.
Lalvani is a British entrepreneur best known for his role as chief executive of Vitabiotics, a family-founded company producing vitamins and nutritional supplements. His business background made consumer health, branding and distribution especially relevant areas during his time on the panel.
He joined after the show's original investors had established its format and audience. As with other later dragons, his arrival date belongs to a particular series rather than the programme's 2005 launch year.
Lalvani's name is sometimes confused with that of his father, Kartar Lalvani, who founded Vitabiotics. The dragon on the BBC programme was Tej Lalvani, who led the company as chief executive and represented a younger generation of the family business.
