Sara Davies became a dragon on BBC's Dragons' Den in 2019.
Davies founded Crafter's Companion, a craft-products business, while she was a student at York University. The company developed from a tool designed to help people make envelopes and expanded into a wider range of crafting products sold internationally.
Her appointment brought a specialist in product development, direct selling and craft retail to the panel. She was among the later additions to the programme, so her start date is separate from the show's original 2005 launch and from the arrival dates of earlier dragons.
Davies has also become known for television appearances outside Dragons' Den. Her business story is often used as an example of how a practical product idea can develop into a larger company through customer-focused retail and international distribution.
