Kelly Hoppen joined the UK television programme Dragons' Den as a Dragon in 2013.
Hoppen is an interior designer and entrepreneur whose career is associated with a design style often described as combining clean lines with neutral colours. Before joining the programme, she had built a substantial design business and worked on residential, commercial and transport-related interiors.
She became part of the panel for series 11, broadcast in 2013. Her expertise gave the programme a Dragon whose professional background was primarily design and luxury interiors rather than technology, retail finance or manufacturing.
Hoppen's tenure was relatively short compared with some other investors, and she left the main panel after series 12. The year 2013 is sometimes confused with the later arrivals of other Dragons, including Nick Jenkins in 2015 and Jenny Campbell in 2017.
