Sara Davies became a Dragon on Dragon's Den in 2019.
Davies joined the British programme for its seventeenth series, bringing expertise from the craft and creative-products sector. She founded Crafter's Companion in 2005 while she was a student at the University of York, initially developing a product to help people make envelopes more easily.
Crafter's Companion grew into an international craft-supplies business, selling tools, materials and related products through several channels. That experience gave Davies a perspective different from investors whose careers were focused mainly on finance or property.
Her appointment also made her the youngest woman to become a Dragon at the time she joined, according to biographies of her television career. The 2019 date refers to her joining the investment panel, not the founding of Crafter's Companion, which came fourteen years earlier.
