AMC began airing the season on April 18, 2022. The season was divided into two parts, with the first seven episodes airing in the spring and the final six episodes beginning in July. The split helped create a long concluding run for the series.
Season six completes Jimmy McGill’s transformation into Saul Goodman and follows the consequences of the schemes involving Kim Wexler and Howard Hamlin. It also connects the prequel’s timeline more directly to Breaking Bad and shows the later life of Jimmy’s Saul Goodman identity.
The season concluded on August 15, 2022, with “Saul Gone.” Some viewers remember 2021 because earlier seasons were released before the COVID-19 production delays, but season six did not premiere until 2022. It was the show’s only season released in two broadcast parts.
