Actors Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell began their relationship in 1983.
Hawn and Russell first met while working on The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band in 1966, when Hawn was 21 and Russell was 16. They later reunited while making the 1983 film Swing Shift, and their romantic relationship began that year.
The pair became one of Hollywood’s best-known long-term couples without marrying. They have a son, Wyatt Russell, born in 1986. Hawn also has two children, Oliver and Kate Hudson, from her earlier marriage to musician Bill Hudson.
People often identify Overboard as the film that brought the couple together, but it came later, in 1987. Their first shared film was The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band; their relationship began during Swing Shift.
