Sara Davies joined the Dragons' Den investor panel in series 17.
Davies became a dragon in 2019, bringing experience from Crafter's Companion, the craft business she founded in 2005. Her company had grown from a product designed for handmade-card makers into an international business serving the wider craft market.
Her appointment made her the youngest female dragon at the time she joined the programme. She also brought specialist knowledge of retail, product development and direct-to-consumer sales, areas that frequently feature in entrepreneurs' pitches.
The series number is easy to confuse with the dates of Davies's business career. Crafter's Companion began in 2005, but Davies did not enter the Dragons' Den cast until series 17. She continued as part of the panel in subsequent series.
