Tej Lalvani first joined the investor panel of Dragon's Den in series 14.
Lalvani is a British businessman best known for his role as chief executive of Vitabiotics, the family-founded health and nutrition company. He brought experience in branded consumer products, manufacturing and international distribution to the programme.
His appointment was part of a later change in the Dragon's Den panel, demonstrating how the show has periodically refreshed its investors while retaining the same pitch format. His business expertise particularly suited proposals involving consumer goods, retail and health-related products.
The series number is easy to misremember because Dragon's Den has had many panel changes and the programme's broadcast years do not always map neatly onto simple calendar numbering. Lalvani's first series as a Dragon was series 14.
