Sara Davies joined the investor panel on Britain's Dragon's Den in series 17.
Davies entered the programme as an entrepreneur and businesswoman known for creating Crafter's Companion, a craft-supplies company she founded while still a student. Her addition brought a younger investor with direct experience of building a product-led business and selling to customers through multiple channels.
The series number matters because Dragon's Den has changed its panel repeatedly since launching in 2005. Sara Davies did not appear among the original dragons, and her arrival came well after established investors such as Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden had become associated with the programme.
Her appointment also illustrates that the show recruits investors from different commercial backgrounds. The panel has included people with experience in retail, manufacturing, technology, property and consumer products, rather than following one fixed professional profile.
