Deborah Meaden first became a Dragon in series 3 of the BBC programme Dragon's Den.
Meaden joined the panel after building a career in business and investment. She became particularly associated with straightforward questioning about sales, margins, ownership, and the practical value of an entrepreneur's proposal.
Her arrival expanded the programme's early panel of investors and made her one of its best-known long-term Dragons. Meaden has interests across a range of sectors and has invested in businesses presented on the programme, although appearing on the show does not mean every pitch receives an offer.
Series numbers are sometimes confused with broadcast years because the programme has aired more than one series in some periods and its international versions use different numbering. In the British edition, Meaden's debut is conventionally recorded as series 3.
