In which season does Beth Greene die?

Beth Greene dies in season 5 of The Walking Dead. Her death occurs in the season 5 mid-season finale, “Coda,” which aired on AMC in November 2014.

Beth has been held at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, where police officers operate an authoritarian survivor community. During a tense exchange with Dawn Lerner, Beth uses a small pair of scissors to stab her, but Dawn reflexively shoots Beth in the head. Daryl Dixon then kills Dawn, ending the standoff.

The scene is commonly confused with Beth’s earlier disappearance from the group or with other major deaths in season 5. Beth’s final storyline begins in “Slabtown,” continues through her attempted escape and rescue negotiations, and concludes at the hospital. Her death deeply affects Maggie Greene, Daryl, and the rest of Rick’s group.
