In which Scottish town was former Dragon's Den investor Duncan Bannatyne born?

The story behind the answer

Former Dragon's Den investor Duncan Bannatyne was born in Clydebank, Scotland.

Bannatyne was born in Clydebank on 2 February 1949. The town lies west of Glasgow on the north bank of the River Clyde and has a major industrial and shipbuilding history.

His career began far from television investment. After serving in the Royal Navy, Bannatyne entered business and built companies in areas including care homes, health clubs and hotels. His business career eventually led to his appointment as one of the investors on Dragon's Den.

Clydebank is sometimes confused with Glasgow because of its location in the wider Glasgow urban area. However, Bannatyne’s stated birthplace is Clydebank, which is a separate town in West Dunbartonshire.
