In which Ohio city is Procter & Gamble's global headquarters located?

The story behind the answer

Procter & Gamble's global headquarters is located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

William Procter and James Gamble formed Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati in 1837. Procter was a candlemaker and Gamble was a soapmaker; their father-in-law helped bring the two businesses together. The company grew from those basic household products into a multinational consumer-goods corporation.

P&G's Cincinnati headquarters is often called the General Offices and remains central to the company's global leadership. Its brands have included Pampers, Tide, Gillette, Oral-B, and Crest, although brand ownership can change over time through acquisitions and divestitures.

The headquarters should not be confused with the locations of individual brand offices or manufacturing plants. Cincinnati is significant not only because it hosts the corporate center, but also because it is the city where the company was founded and developed its early business.
