Accenture plc's corporate headquarters is registered in Dublin, Ireland.
Accenture is a multinational professional-services company providing consulting, technology, and outsourcing services. Its public company structure is Irish, and Dublin is the registered headquarters location, even though Accenture operates through offices and delivery centers worldwide.
The company was created in 1989 as Andersen Consulting, a business and technology consulting division of Arthur Andersen. It became independent and adopted the name Accenture in 2001. The name was chosen from the phrase “accent on the future.”
Dublin is sometimes overlooked because Accenture has major offices in New York, London, Chicago, and many technology centers. The registered Irish headquarters reflects the company's legal domicile, not the location of all its employees or operations.
