Adidas's global headquarters, known as World of Sports, is located in Herzogenaurach, Germany. The town in Bavaria has been the company's home since Adidas founder Adolf Dassler began making sports shoes there.

Adolf and Rudolf Dassler originally worked together in the family shoe business. They separated after the Second World War, and Adolf founded Adidas in 1949 while Rudolf founded Puma.
