Her appearance confirms that the character created for animation has entered the live-action Star Wars timeline.

Ahsoka was originally introduced in the animated film and series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, then became a major figure in Star Wars Rebels. Chapter 13 connects those stories to The Mandalorian while also revealing Grogu’s name and some of his history. Dave Filoni, Ahsoka’s co-creator, wrote and directed the episode.

The answer is sometimes confused with Chapter 16: The Rescue, because that episode features Ahsoka among the heroes who confront Moff Gideon’s forces.
