The Dragons' Den studio at BBC Pacific Quay is based in Glasgow.
BBC Pacific Quay is a major broadcasting complex beside the River Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland. It opened in 2007 and became home to BBC Scotland's principal television and radio operations. Dragons' Den has used the complex for its studio production, giving the programme a Glasgow base even though entrepreneurs and investors come from across the United Kingdom.
The location is separate from the businesses featured on the show. A pitch may concern a company based anywhere in Britain, while the negotiations are filmed in the Pacific Quay studio.
Glasgow is sometimes confused with Manchester because several major British television productions are based at MediaCityUK in Salford. Bristol and Birmingham are also important broadcasting centres, but neither is the city named by BBC Pacific Quay.
