In which city has the BBC series Dragons' Den been filmed at MediaCityUK since 2013?

The story behind the answer

The BBC series Dragons' Den has been filmed at MediaCityUK in Salford since 2013.

MediaCityUK is a large mixed-use development on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal in Salford, Greater Manchester. It became a major centre for broadcasting and digital media, with the BBC among its principal occupants. Moving Dragons' Den there placed the programme within one of the UK's most important modern television-production hubs.

Before the move, the series was associated with studios in Manchester, including the former Granada Studios complex. The change of location did not alter the programme's format: entrepreneurs still present businesses to a panel of investors and seek money in exchange for a stake.

Salford is often confused with Manchester because the two cities form part of the same urban area and MediaCityUK is close to central Manchester. Administratively, however, MediaCityUK is in Salford, making Salford the precise city answer.
