Meta Platforms' corporate headquarters is in Menlo Park, California.
Meta, formerly known as Facebook, has its headquarters at the Menlo Park campus on Hacker Way. The company moved its headquarters from Palo Alto to Menlo Park in 2011, as its workforce and operations grew rapidly.
The company adopted the name Meta Platforms in 2021 to reflect its broader focus beyond the Facebook social network. Its major products include Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.
Menlo Park is part of Silicon Valley and is close to Palo Alto and Stanford University. Those nearby places are frequently confused with the headquarters city, especially because Facebook used Palo Alto offices before the move to its larger Menlo Park campus.
