Hugh Jackman played Wolverine in the 2000 movie “X-Men.”
Directed by Bryan Singer, X-Men brought Marvel’s mutant heroes to the big screen in a story centered on the conflict between Professor Charles Xavier’s team and Magneto’s Brotherhood. Jackman’s Wolverine, whose real name is Logan, serves as the audience’s entry point into the mutant world alongside Rogue.

Jackman was not the original actor hired for the part: Dougray Scott had been cast but withdrew after scheduling problems involving Mission: Impossible 2.
