In which 1980's TV show did Adam Rich star?
Answer
Eight Is Enough
Answer
Eight Is Enough
Adam Rich starred in the TV show Eight Is Enough.
Rich played Nicholas Bradford, the youngest child in the large Bradford family. The ABC comedy-drama followed newspaper columnist Tom Bradford, played by Dick Van Patten, as he raised eight children. Rich joined the main cast as a child actor and became one of the show’s most recognizable faces.
Eight Is Enough premiered on March 15, 1977, and ran for five seasons, ending on May 23, 1981. Because it crossed from the late 1970s into the early 1980s, the question’s decade wording can cause confusion, but Rich’s association with the show is unambiguous. He appeared throughout its original run as Nicholas.
Rich became known to viewers as “America’s little brother,” helped by his pageboy haircut and the character’s place as the youngest Bradford. After the series, he appeared in shows including Code Red, The Love Boat, Silver Spoons, and Baywatch, but Eight Is Enough remained his signature role. He also reprised Nicholas in two television reunion movies.
