Steven Bartlett became the youngest Dragon on Dragon's Den when he joined the programme in 2021.
Bartlett was born in Botswana in 1992 and became known as a digital entrepreneur and podcaster. He co-founded the social-media marketing agency Social Chain with Dominic McGregor in 2014, and the company later became a significant international agency.
The BBC announced Bartlett as a new Dragon for the nineteenth series of Dragon's Den. At 29, he brought a notably younger profile to the investor panel and focused particularly on technology, digital media and consumer brands.
The age record refers to his age when he joined the British programme, not to the age of the youngest entrepreneur ever to pitch. Bartlett's appointment also followed the departure of several earlier Dragons and reflected the show's changing mix of business backgrounds.
