Forever 21 opened its first international store in Canada in 2007.
The company’s first Canadian flagship opened in Toronto, marking an important step beyond its United States base. The store was associated with the Yonge and Dundas area, across from the Toronto Eaton Centre, and helped introduce the retailer’s low-priced, trend-driven clothing to Canadian shoppers.
Forever 21’s Canadian expansion accelerated after that debut. Contemporary reports noted that the chain grew to numerous Canadian locations within only a few years, adding stores in major shopping centres and cities. Its international growth was part of a much broader expansion that eventually spread the brand across Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
The date can be confused with later Canadian openings or with the retailer’s return to Canada after its 2019 bankruptcy-related closures. Those later events do not change the original entry date: the chain first established a Canadian presence in 2007.
