Deborah Meaden first appeared as a Dragon on the British show Dragons' Den in 2006.
Meaden joined after the programme’s debut series and became one of its most recognisable investors. Before television, she had built a career in business, including work in leisure and hospitality, giving her experience relevant to many consumer and service pitches.
Her investment style is often associated with direct questioning about costs, margins, ownership and realistic growth. Like every Dragon, she could choose to make an offer, decline, or negotiate for a different share of a company.
The year 2006 identifies her arrival on the British panel. It should not be confused with the year she began her wider business career or with the dates of particular investments shown on later episodes.
