Assassin's Creed Syndicate was released in 2015.
The game launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in October 2015, with a Windows release following in November. It is set in London during the Industrial Revolution and follows the Assassin twins Jacob and Evie Frye as they challenge Templar influence in the city.
Syndicate introduced a grappling hook, train-based activities, and a system for controlling London districts. Its historical setting includes industrial expansion, class conflict, organized crime, and major public works associated with Victorian London.
The year is easy to confuse with 2014, when Assassin's Creed Unity was released. Unity is set in revolutionary Paris, while Syndicate moves the series forward to nineteenth-century England. Syndicate was also the final major Assassin's Creed title released before the series took a longer development break leading to Origins in 2017.
