Jerry Edgar and Julia Brasher are characters in the television series Bosch.
Bosch is an American police-procedural drama based on Michael Connelly’s Harry Bosch novels. The series follows Los Angeles Police Department homicide detective Hieronymus “Harry” Bosch, played by Titus Welliver, as he investigates murders while dealing with departmental politics and personal conflicts.
Jerry Edgar, played by Jamie Hector, is Bosch’s detective partner in the series. Julia Brasher, portrayed by Annie Wersching, is a rookie Hollywood Division police officer who becomes romantically involved with Bosch during the first season. Their roles help show two different sides of Bosch’s professional life: his long-standing partnership with Edgar and his complicated relationship with a less-experienced colleague.
A common mix-up is confusing the television series with Bosch: Legacy, its follow-up series. Edgar appears in both, but Brasher is primarily associated with the original Bosch series. The original show premiered in 2015 and ran for seven seasons.
