Evan Davis presented the UK television show Dragon's Den from its first series through series 18.
Davis became the programme's original presenter when Dragon's Den began on BBC Two in 2005. His role was to introduce entrepreneurs, manage the pitch-room discussion and explain the investment outcomes to viewers.
He remained associated with the programme for 18 series before leaving the presenting role. Davis is also known for his work as a BBC journalist, economics correspondent and presenter of Newsnight and PM.
A common mix-up is confusing the presenter with the Dragons themselves. Davis did not sit on the investment panel: the Dragons evaluated the businesses, while he guided the programme and interviewed the entrepreneurs.
