Evan Davis has presented the UK television show Dragons' Den since series 5.
Davis succeeded Adrian Chiles, who hosted the first four series. Before joining Dragons' Den, Davis was widely known as a BBC economics journalist and as the presenter of the radio programme Today.
His role is to introduce entrepreneurs, manage the pitch discussions and guide the programme between investments. The Dragons themselves assess the businesses, negotiate offers and decide whether to invest.
A common mix-up is confusing Davis with Adrian Chiles, the original presenter, or with the investors, who are often called Dragons. Davis is the host rather than a Dragon.
