In the UK television show Dragon's Den, who created Reggae Reggae Sauce?

The story behind the answer

Levi Roots created Reggae Reggae Sauce and became one of Dragon's Den's best-known successful entrepreneurs.

Roots presented his sauce on the BBC series in 2007. He agreed a deal with Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh, giving the product investment and business support. The sauce was based on a family recipe connected with Caribbean cooking and had previously been sold at Notting Hill Carnival.

The pitch helped transform Roots from a musician and food seller into a widely recognised food-brand owner. Reggae Reggae Sauce later became part of a broader range of Caribbean-inspired products.

A common mix-up is confusing the entrepreneur with the investors who backed him. Roots was the contestant; Peter Jones and Richard Farleigh were the Dragons involved in the televised deal.
