In the UK television show Dragons' Den, which presenter hosted the first four series?

The story behind the answer

Adrian Chiles hosted the first four series of the UK television show Dragons' Den.

Chiles was the programme's original presenter when the British version began in 2005. He later moved on to other television work, including presenting The One Show and football coverage, before Evan Davis took over Dragons' Den.

The presenter does not decide which businesses receive investment. Instead, the presenter introduces each entrepreneur, keeps the pitch moving and asks occasional questions while the Dragons examine the proposal.

Viewers sometimes remember Chiles as one of the investors because he appeared throughout the early run, but he was never one of the Dragons. The investors occupied the panel, while Chiles stood outside the negotiation.
