Sara Davies founded the craft-supplies company Crafter's Companion.
Davies established Crafter's Companion in 2005 while she was a student at the University of York. The business began with a product designed to help crafters make envelopes and developed into an international craft-products company. Its range later expanded to include papercraft, die-cutting, stationery and related tools.
Davies became a Dragon on the BBC business programme Dragon's Den in 2019. She was the first new female Dragon to join the regular panel since Kelly Hoppen's departure. Crafter's Companion is often confused with Davies's television role: the company existed before she became a Dragon, and it was her own business rather than an investment made on the programme.
