In the UK television show Dragon's Den, which company was founded by Dragon Peter Jones in 1998?

Dragon Peter Jones founded Phones International Group in 1998.

The company was created during the rapid expansion of the mobile-phone market. Jones built the business around selling mobile phones and related services, helping establish his reputation as an entrepreneur in the technology and communications sector.

Phones International Group was later associated with a range of communications businesses, including ventures connected with mobile phones and broadband. Jones's career also included work in computing, property and media, which is why summaries of his business interests can vary.

Phones International Group should not be confused with Carphone Warehouse, a separate mobile-phone retailer founded by Charles Dunstone and Julian Brown. The date in the question identifies the business linked to Jones's own entrepreneurial history.
