The UK television show Dragon's Den originally broadcast on BBC Two.
Dragon's Den is the British version of an international business-pitch format in which entrepreneurs present companies and products to wealthy investors. The programme debuted on BBC Two, where its combination of negotiation, valuation and personality-driven discussion quickly established it as a distinctive factual-entertainment series.
The channel is BBC Two, not BBC One, BBC Three or BBC Four. BBC Two has traditionally carried factual, documentary and specialist programming, making it a natural home for a business-focused series. The programme's later scheduling history does not change the channel on which the original UK series launched.
The British format was adapted from the Japanese programme Money Tigers. Its title uses the plural possessive form “Dragons'” because several investors sit on the panel together, although the official branding is commonly styled as Dragon's Den in the singular form.
