Evan Davis has presented the UK television series Dragon's Den since its first episode.
Davis is a British economist, journalist and broadcaster who became particularly associated with the BBC's business and current-affairs programming. His role on Dragon's Den is to introduce entrepreneurs, explain the pitches and provide continuity between the negotiations.
The presenter is separate from the Dragons, who are the investors deciding whether to offer money for an ownership stake. A common mix-up is to identify one of the investors as the host, but Davis has remained outside the panel of businesspeople.
The programme's presenters and investors have changed at different times, so the host's continuity is an important part of the show's identity.
