The UK television series Dragons' Den first aired on BBC Two.
The programme premiered in 2005 as the British adaptation of the Japanese business format Money Tigers. Entrepreneurs present business ideas to a panel of investors, known as Dragons, and seek investment in exchange for an ownership stake.
BBC Two has traditionally been associated with factual, documentary, arts and specialist programming, making it the original home of the British series. The show later became one of the BBC's best-known business programmes, but its initial broadcasts were on BBC Two rather than BBC One.
The UK programme is sometimes confused with the similarly titled international versions, including Canada's Dragons' Den and Australia's Shark Tank-related formats. The channel asked for here is specifically the broadcaster carrying the original British television run.
