In the UK programme Dragons' Den, which Dragon created the YO! brand?

The story behind the answer

Simon Woodroffe created the YO! brand, best known initially through YO! Sushi. He was one of the original Dragons on the UK programme Dragons' Den and brought an unusual hospitality and branding background to the panel.

YO! Sushi became known for serving dishes from a moving conveyor belt, a format that made the restaurant experience visually distinctive and helped the brand stand out in the competitive casual-dining market. Woodroffe later extended the YO! name into other concepts, including YO! Hotel.

The brand is often reduced to the restaurant name, but the broader answer is YO!, the umbrella branding created by Woodroffe. This distinguishes him from Theo Paphitis, associated with Ryman, and Duncan Bannatyne, associated with the Bannatyne Group. James Caan was a later Dragon and did not create the YO! brand.

Woodroffe's time on Dragons' Den was comparatively shorter than some other original panel members, but his connection with the programme is significant because he was present in the first line-up. His background illustrates the range of industries represented by the original Dragons.
